The cigarettes produced by Bentoel Group are mixtures of more than 20 types of tobacco with various grades, purchased locally as well as imported, and clove purchased from various regions. This mixture is then collaborated with certain flavor component they are all synergized using cigarette design technology. Therefore, in order to obtain good quality product, solid team work across functions in Research & Development Directorate is enganged.

Blenders who participate in Product Development team should be professionally responsible to mix all materials to create new cigarettes with good quality.

The Product Development has selected strictly and carefully the quality of raw materials to be used in the production in order to assure the existing Bentoel Group high products quality. In line with the spirit of quality improvement, tobacco preblending process technology is implemented.

Strong synergy among blenders, receiving grader and NTM development create superb Product Development team who always create and maintain quality of Company products.

Supported by advanced equipment and software as well as good system and administrations, which received accreditation as Testing Laboratory accordance to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, the performance of Quality Assurance team, to maintain high standard quality of the products through evaluation of physical, chemical and smoking of raw materials and Company products, can be optimized. The latest High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) has been installed, to support their works

A dedicated team who is consistently test the taste and evaluate each stick of cigarette using the latest technology and research method. This team is part of “Bentoel Internal Panelist”, which include Expert & Trained Panelist
